Sitka Semsch

Sitka was born in Peru and as early as the age of 10 she discovered her calling for fashion. After several experiences in designing and dressmaking she decided to study fashion design in the United States.

She chose the famous Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), where she graduated with honors in 1993. Sitka had the opportunity of working as a trainee with designer Michael Kors and, for the first time, she took part in presenting important collections in New York. She continued gaining experience in the fashion world during the time she worked for the demanding American market. Here, at "The Limited" boutiques, she mastered sales, marketing and customer service techniques.

She decided to return to Peru in 1995, where she set up her own fashion house. Following the immediate success of her collections, she soon became one of Peru's top fashion designers. Her dressmaking dreams are always conceived with details that make a difference. As a result, she has a wide range of evening, cocktail and wedding dresses on offer, as well as fashion accessories. Currently, she runs the most successful fashion house in Peru.

Her international clientele enjoys two annual collections, created with Sitka's philosophy of elegance, simplicity and sensuality.

Sitka has taken part in several international fashion shows in United States, Colombia, Panama, Russia and Peru. In 2003 she received the maximum award "New Star in Fashion" at the Fashion Week of the Americas in Miami. In 2004 she became the first latin american designer in showing her collections to the Russian market at the Russian Fashion Week in Moscow.
